For example, a 15" CRT monitor is actually 14", where as a 15" LCD monitor is 15" diagonal. These LCD monitors are designed to be used as normal computer monitors. Only the ones marked as having video can accept input from video recorders, DVD players and video cameras. You can play DVD movies with any monitor if your computer has a DVD drive and DVD movie player software installed.
